The cover shows novel triangle-shaped discotic graphenes that are substituted by swallow-like alkyl tails and allow facile purification, control over thermotropic properties, and solution fabrication into efficient photovoltaic devices. Xinliang Feng, Wojciech Pisula, Klaus Mullen, and co-workers report on p. 2684 that this unique molecular design results in an extremely broad liquid-crystalline range and the ability to self-heal at low processing temperatures, which improves the performance of photovoltaic cells.
