Batteries: One-Pot Facile Synthesis of Double-Shelled SnO2 Yolk-Shell-Structured Powders by Continuous Process as Anode Materials for Li-ion Batteries (Adv. Mater. 16/2013)
A novel one-pot method of synthesis of doubleshelled SnO2 yolk-shell powders by spray pyrolysis is introduced by Yun Chan Kang and co-workers on page 2279. The formation of C–SnO2 composite powder and the subsequent step-by-step combustion of carbon inside a tubular reactor produce SnO2 yolk-shell powder. The inside cover image shows the formation mechanism of yolk-shell powder in the spray pyrolysis.
