3D Proton conductivity....

Proton conductivity in all three dimensions in a polymeric material has been achieved. Nanoscale "wires" formed via hierarchical self-organization of a basic block copolymer and a monomeric acid/alkylphenol complex establish a lamellar-within-lamellar superstructure, resulting in a soft material with tunable conductivity and anisotropy (G. ten Brinke, O. Ikkala et al., March 3; Adv. Mater. 2002, 14, 357-361).
