Red light from osmium complexes.....

Red light from osmium complexes has been shown to occur with a peak radiance that exceeded 6000 cd m-2 at only 6 V. External quantum efficiencies that are of the order of 1 % have been achieved. The importance of ionic space charge effects in the mechanism of device operation is discussed here (G.G. Malliaras et al., March 18; Adv. Mater. 2002, 14, 433-436).
