Ag- and Nb-alloyed NbS2 nanotubes...

Ag- and Nb-alloyed NbS2 nanotubes are the first nanotubes grown by self-assembly of NbS2 nanoparticles. As growth precursors for such doped nanotubes, silver alloyed (NbS4)xI needle crystals were used. The important stage of the growth technique is the interconversion of two-dimensional structures via an intermediate with one-dimensional needle geometry (M. Remskar et al., May 5; Adv. Mater. 2002, 14, 680-684).
