Editorial Team:

Peter Gregory (Editor-in-Chief): Peter Gregory completed his PhD at University College London and then worked at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. He joined Wiley in 1989 and is now the Editor-in-Chief of Advanced Materials and Publishing Director for Wiley's global materials and physics programs.
Martin Ottmar (Deputy Editor): Martin Ottmar obtained his diploma (MS) and PhD from Tübingen University. He worked at Osaka University before joining Wiley-VCH in 2001. Since 2008, he has been Deputy Editor of Advanced Materials.
Carolina Novo da Silva (Deputy Editor): Carolina Novo obtained her BS from the Campinas State University, Brazil and her PhD from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She joined Wiley in 2008.
Lorna Stimson (Deputy Editor): Lorna Stimson gained her MSci (Hons) and PhD from the University of Durham. She worked at the University of Patras, the Helsinki University of Technology, and the University of Western Ontario before joining Wiley in 2007.
Eliza-Beth Lerch (Managing Editor): Eliza-Beth Lerch received her SB from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her PhD at the University of California Berkeley. She worked at the Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main before joining Wiley in 2010.
Sjef Öllers (Deputy Managing Editor): Sjef Öllers studied at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Before joining Wiley in 2008, he worked at the Philips Research Laboratories and the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology.
Sabine Bahrs (Editor): Sabine Bahrs is a solid state physicist who studied at the University of Manchester (then Institute of Science and Technology), UK, and the Technical University Berlin, Germany. She obtained a PhD for her research on optical spectroscopy and high-temperature superconductors and, after a post-doc, joined the editorial office at Wiley-VCH in 2006.
Matteo Cavalleri (Editor): Matteo Cavalleri studied chemistry at the University of Milan (Italy) and University of Valencia (Spain) before obtaining his PhD in chemical physics at the Stockholm University (Sweden) with a thesis entitled “Local Structure of Hydrogen Bonded Liquids”. After a 3 years experience at the Theory Department of the Fritz-Haber-Institut in Berlin (Germany) as an Alexander von Humboldt postdoctoral research fellow, he joined Wiley in August 2008 as an Editor of physica status solidi. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, based in the Wiley HQ in Hoboken (USA).
James Cook (Editor): James received his BSc in physics at the University of Leeds, UK in 1994 and then gained his PhD in polymer physics at the same university in 1999. He had a post-doc position in physical chemistry at the University of Durham, before working as a youth worker in Sunderland, UK. He joined Wiley in 2012.
Anja Eberhardt (Editor): Anja Eberhardt studied chemistry at Saarland University. Before joining Wiley in 2012 she worked on her PhD thesis in the field of Physical Chemistry.
Guido Fuchs (Editor): Guido Fuchs studied physics at the University of Cape Town and the University of Cologne, where he received his PhD in 2003. He worked in the group of Prof. P. Thaddeus at Harvard University, as a Humboldt research fellow at the University of California at Berkeley, and as a Post-Doc in the Sackler Laboratory at the Leiden University. Guido joined Wiley in 2007.
Sandra Kalveram (Editor): Sandra Kalveram obtained her diploma degree and PhD from the University of Dortmund. She joined Wiley-VCH in 2003.
Adrian Miller (Editor): Adrian Miller obtained a BSc (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh. He joined Wiley in 2008 and is also the Managing Editor of www.MaterialsViews.com.
Anne Pfisterer (Editor): Anne Pfisterer gained her Diploma degree from the University of Mainz and her PhD from the Max Planck Institute of Polymer Research. She joined Wiley in 2012.
Yan Li (Editor): Yan Li obtained his BSc from Tianjin University and PhD from Tsinghua University. He subsequently carried out postdoctoral studies at University of Houston and then at Wageningen University. He joined Wiley in 2012.
Duoduo Liang (Editor): Duoduo Liang studied at the University of Science and Technology in Beijing, China and earned his PhD from the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He joined Wiley in 2010 and is based in Beijing.
Jenny Mahoney (Editor): Jenny Mahoney studied physics at Fordham University in New York and received her PhD from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey. Before joining Wiley in 2011, she worked at Rutgers University and Saint Peter's University in New Jersey.
Matthew Smyllie (Editor): Matthew Smyllie has an MChem from the University of Sheffield and an MSc from Queen Mary, University of London. Before joining Wiley in 2013, he worked for Nature Publishing Group on the journal Nature Reviews Genetics. Prior to that, he was a freelancer for CRC Press.
Ingeborg Stass (Editor): Ingeborg Stass received a PhD in physics from Freie Universität Berlin. She worked in the field of surface science at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley (California), and joined Wiley in 2010.
Anna Troeger (Editor): Anna Troeger received her Diploma and PhD in physical chemistry from the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg. She joined Wiley in 2013.
Ana Valente (Editor): Ana Valente obtained a MSc in astronomy at the University of Porto and a PhD in physics at the University of Heidelberg. She joined Wiley in 2013.
Melanie Rettenmaier (Administration): Melanie Rettenmaier finished her education at Freudenberg in Weinheim. In 2003, after working for a technical consulting company, she joined Wiley. Melanie is a member of the materials science administrative team.
Anke Osterland (Administration): After receiving her degree from the Fachhochschule für Technik Mannheim, Anke worked for Wiley-VCH as a freelancer. Since 2009, she has been a member of the materials science administrative team.
Esther Levy (Consulting Editor): Esther Levy studied at Otago University and gained a PhD from Cambridge University. She joined Wiley in 1997 and is now a Consulting Editor for Advanced Materials and Senior Commissioning Editor for Wiley’s materials, polymers, and physics publishing program in Asia. She is based in Sydney.
Christine Herth (Production Manager): Christine Herth joined Wiley in 2008 and is now the Production Manager for Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, and Small.
Sonja Hoffmann (Marketing): Sonja Hoffmann qualified as Marketing Expert at the IHK Mannheim. She joined STM Journals Marketing Department of Wiley-VCH in 2006 and is now the Marketing Manager for Materials Science, Polymer, and Physics Journals.
