Peter Gregory (Editor-in-Chief): Peter Gregory completed his PhD at University College London and then worked at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. He joined Wiley in 1989 and is now the Editor-in-Chief of Advanced Materials and Publishing Director for Wiley's global materials and physics programs.
Mary De Vita (Deputy Editor): Mary De Vita obtained a BSc (Hons) and a PhD from Dublin City University. After working at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and Uppsala University, she joined Wiley in 2005.
Duoduo Liang (Deputy Editor): Duoduo Liang studied at the University of Science and Technology in Beijing, China and earned his PhD from the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He joined Wiley in 2010 and is based in Beijing.
Lorna Stimson (Deputy Editor): Lorna Stimson gained her MSci (Hons) and PhD from the University of Durham. She worked at the University of Patras, the Helsinki University of Technology, and the University of Western Ontario before joining Wiley in 2007.
Eliza-Beth Lerch (Managing Editor): Eliza-Beth Lerch received her SB from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her PhD at the University of California Berkeley. She worked at the Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main before joining Wiley in 2010.
Ana V. Almeida (Editor): Ana V. Almeida studied biology at University of Lisbon and moved to Germany in 2008 for an internship on Analytical Chemistry and Mass Spectrometry at the Konstanz University. Before joining Wiley in 2016 she earned her PhD thesis in the field of Microfluidics in the Saarland University.
James Cook (Editor): James received his BSc in physics at the University of Leeds, UK in 1994 and then gained his PhD in polymer physics at the same university in 1999. He had a post-doc position in physical chemistry at the University of Durham, before working as a youth worker in Sunderland, UK. He joined Wiley in 2012.
Anja Wecker (Editor): Anja Wecker studied chemistry at Saarland University. Before joining Wiley in 2012 she worked on her PhD thesis in the field of Physical Chemistry.
Till von Graberg (Editor): Till von Graberg received his diploma from the University of Marburg, completing his research towards a diploma thesis jointly at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Potsdam-Golm. He obtained his PhD at the University of Gießen and joined Wiley in 2012.
Prisca Henheik (Editor): Prisca has a chemistry background and completed her PhD at the Heidelberg University (Cell Biology) and then worked at the Biochemistry Department in Heidelberg. She joined Wiley in 2001 and is Editor-in-Chief of CLEAN – Soil, Air, Water since 2015, Editor of Global Challenges, Advanced Materials and Advanced Materials Interfaces.
Emily Hu (Editor): Obtained her PhD at the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences(Changchun, China). Before joining Wiley in 2012, she worked at the University of Washington in Seattle as a postdoctoral researcher.
David Huesmann (Editor): David obtained his Diploma degree in biomedical chemistry and his Ph.D. in polymer chemistry from the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz. He joined Wiley in 2015.
Lucie Kalvodova (Editor): Lucie completed her PhD in cell biology at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden, Germany where she also conducted part of her post-doctoral research. This was followed by a second post-doctoral position at the Infectious Disease Research Institute in Seattle, USA before joining Wiley in 2009. In addition to working on Advanced Materials she is Deputy Editor of PROTEOMICS and Proteomics-Clinical Applications and managing editor of the European Journal of Lipid Science and Technology.
Jos Lenders (Editor): Jos Lenders studied chemical engineering and chemistry at Eindhoven University of Technology, in the Netherlands. There he obtained his BSc, MSc and PhD, the latter in the area of bioinspired materials synthesis. He joined Wiley-VCH in 2015.
Jenny Mahoney (Editor): Jenny Mahoney studied physics at Fordham University in New York and received her PhD from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey. Before joining Wiley in 2011, she worked at Rutgers University and Saint Peter's University in New Jersey.
Hakim Meskine (Editor): Hakim obtained his PhD in physics from the University of Missouri and was a postdoc at the theory department of the Fritz-Haber Institute in Berlin and at Strathclyde University, Scotland. He joined Wiley in May 2011.
Nadezda Panarina (Editor): Nadezda Panarina studied physics at the Kazan State University (Russia) and obtained a Ph.D. for her research in the field of high-temperature superconductivity and radio-frequency spectroscopy. During her postdoctoral research she was a Marie-Curie fellow at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research in Dresden (Germany). Nadezda joined Wiley in 2014.
Kirsten Severing (Editor): Kirsten studied chemical engineering at the Fachhochschule Aachen before doing her Masters studies in physical chemistry at the Stockholm University in Sweden. In 2005 she received her Ph.D. from the Institute for Macromolecular Chemistry at the University of Freiburg. She joined Wiley in 2007
Gemma Smith (Editor): Gemma Smith received an MSci (Hons) in earth sciences from the University of Birmingham and a PhD in geology and geophysics from the University of Southampton. She worked as a research and teaching assistant at Plymouth University and Southampton University before joining Wiley in 2015.
Ingeborg Stass (Editor): Ingeborg Stass received a PhD in physics from Freie Universität Berlin. She worked in the field of surface science at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley (California), and joined Wiley in 2010.
Szymon Wiktorowicz (Editor): Szymon obtained his Diploma degree from the Jagiellonian University. He spent a year conducting research at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz and in 2014 he earned his PhD in polymer chemistry from the University of Helsinki. Following a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Calgary, he joined Wiley-VCH in 2016.
Jipei Yuan (Editor): Jipei Yuan obtained her PhD from the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Before joining Wiley in 2015, she worked at TU Dresden and then the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as a postdoctoral researcher.
Melanie Rettenmaier (Administration): Melanie Rettenmaier finished her education at Freudenberg in Weinheim. In 2003, after working for a technical consulting company, she joined Wiley. Melanie is a member of the materials science administrative team.
Esther Levy (Consulting Editor): Esther Levy studied at Otago University and gained a PhD from Cambridge University. She joined Wiley in 1997 and is now a Consulting Editor for Advanced Materials and Senior Commissioning Editor for Wiley’s materials, polymers, and physics publishing program in Asia. She is based in Sydney.
Christine Herth (Production Manager): Christine Herth joined Wiley in 2008 and is now the Production Manager for Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, and Small.
Sonja Hoffmann (Marketing): Sonja Hoffmann qualified as Marketing Expert at the IHK Mannheim. She joined STM Journals Marketing Department of Wiley-VCH in 2006 and is now the Marketing Manager for Materials Science, Polymer, and Physics Journals.
