2005 Cover Competition Winners

2005 Cover Competition WinnersWe would like to thank everybody who took part in the competition to vote for their favorite Small cover image of 2005. From the large number of entries two winners were randomly selected, who will each receive one of the excellent nanoscience and -technology books from the Wiley range. Our congratulations go to Shu Xu, a PhD student from the University of Freiburg (Germany), and Ronan Baron, a postdoctoral researcher from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel). In a close competition, the image voted for most often was that which adorned the cover of Issue 7/2005, highlighting the Communication ôAn Engineered Virus as a Scaffold for Three-Dimensional Self-Assembly on the Nanoscaleö by A. S. Blum (Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, DC, USA) and co-workers (Small 2005, 1, 702). We congratulate the authors on their success and all of our excellent cover-image providers. We look forward to an equally exciting competition at the end of 2006!
