Ultraviolet Sensors: An Efficient Way to Assemble ZnS Nanobelts as Ultraviolet-Light Sensors with Enhanced Photocurrent and Stability (Adv. Funct. Mater. 3/2010)
On page 500, Xiaosheng Fang and co-workers demonstrate the successful development of high-performance “visible-blind” microscale ZnS nanobelt-based ultraviolet (UV) light sensors through a newly developed non-lithographic method. Such sensors may prove extremely useful for the detection of harmful near-visible-wavelength UV radiation, of particular interest in locations where the shielding effect of the Earth's atmosphere is deteriorating.
