Electro-optical Materials: Solution-Processed Organic Light-Emitting Transistors Incorporating Conjugated Polyelectrolytes (Adv. Funct. Mater. 19/2011)
Improved performance of p-type organic lightemitting transistors (OLETs) is demonstrated by Alan J. Heeger, Guillermo C. Bazan, and coworkers on page 3667 by introducing a conjugated polyelectrolyte (CPE) layer and symmetric high-work-function source and drain electrodes. The thickness of the CPE layer is critical for achieving good performance and provides an important structural handle for consideration in future optimization studies. Multicolor OLETs are demonstrated via choice of emissive layer.
