Nanostructured thin films of soluble conjugated polymers...

can be obtained by electrophoretic deposition from colloidal polymer solutions, as demonstrated for poly(3-octadecylthiophene). The films are aggregates of 0.1 micrometer particles, reflecting the colloidal nature of the parent solution; their large surfaces make them promising materials for electrochemical or optoelectronic device applications.
