A new microporous solid...

...called Silicalite-1 zeogrid, formed by the fusion of zeolitic nanoslabs, is reported by Martens and co-workers. The molecular sieving potential of these zeogrids is demonstrated using pulse chromatography of alkane mixtures. Promisingly, the mass transfer resistance of a packed bed of zeogrid particles is found to be considerably lower than that in compacted zeolite powder.(April 18; Adv. Funct.
