Editorial Team:

Jörn Ritterbusch (Editor-in-Chief): Jörn Ritterbusch studied chemistry at the Technical University Braunschweig, Germany, where he received his Ph.D. in Ecological Chemistry in 1996 for his studies on emissions from coolants for metal working in a research cooperation with Volkswagen AG. He joined Wiley in 2006, and is Editor-in-Chief of Advanced Functional Materials and head of the Macromolecular Journals editorial office.
Duoduo Liang (Deputy Editor): Duoduo Liang studied at the University of Science and Technology in Beijing, China and earned his PhD from the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He joined Wiley in 2010 and is based in Beijing.
Eliza-Beth Lerch (Managing Editor): Eliza-Beth Lerch received her SB from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her PhD at the University of California Berkeley. She worked at the Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main before joining Wiley in 2010.
Matthew Smyllie (Deputy Managing Editor): Matthew Smyllie has an MChem from the University of Sheffield and an MSc from Queen Mary, University of London. Before joining Wiley in 2013, he worked for Nature Publishing Group on the journal Nature Reviews Genetics. Prior to that, he was a freelancer for CRC Press.
Adam Brotchie (Editor): Adam Brotchie obtained his PhD from The University of Melbourne. Prior to joining Wiley in 2012 he worked at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam.
Victoria Cleave (Editor): Victoria Cleave completed her PhD on polymer blends for organic electronics at the University of Cambridge, UK, following a BSc in chemistry at Imperial College, London. After a short post-doctoral position, she worked with the journals Advanced Materials and Advanced Functional Materials, rising to Deputy Editor level before joining the journal Nature Materials in 2005. She becaming Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Polymer Science Part B: Polymer Physics in April 2010.
Anja Eberhardt (Editor): Anja Eberhardt studied chemistry at Saarland University. Before joining Wiley in 2012 she worked on her PhD thesis in the field of Physical Chemistry.
Hakim Meskine (Editor): Hakim Meskine obtained a PhD in physics from the University of Missouri in 2005, and has worked as a postdoc at the theory department of the Fritz-Haber Institute in Berlin and at Strathclyde University. He joined the Berlin office of Wiley in May 2011 as an editor for physica status solidi. Since July of 2012 he is also the managing editor for Crystal Research and Technology.
Adrian Miller (Editor): Adrian Miller obtained a BSc (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh. He joined Wiley in 2008 and is also the Managing Editor of
Anne Pfisterer (Editor): Anne Pfisterer gained her Diploma degree from the University of Mainz and her PhD from the Max Planck Institute of Polymer Research. She joined Wiley in 2012.
Ana Valente (Editor): Ana Valente obtained a MSc in astronomy at the University of Porto and a PhD in physics at the University of Heidelberg. She joined Wiley in 2013.
Guangchen Xu (Editor): Guangchen Xu obtained his BSc and PhD (Hons) from the Beijing University of Technology. He spent a year at Michigan State University as a visiting scholar. Before joining the Wiley team in Beijing in 2011, he was an Assistant Professor at Beijing University of Technology.
Peter Gregory (Founding Editor): Peter Gregory completed his PhD at University College London and then worked at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. He joined Wiley in 1989 and is now the Editor-in-Chief of Advanced Materials and Publishing Director for Wiley's global materials and physics programs.
Petra Pinto (Administration): Petra Pinto joined Wiley in October 2006 as an editorial assistant. Her main tasks include the administrative work that is incurred with manuscript submissions, reviewing procedures, and sending reminders to referees and authors.
Ursula Damm (Administration): After studying at Heidelberg University, Ursula worked for various publishers before joining Wiley in 2007. She is now a member of the materials science administrative team.
Inge Dittmer (Administration): Inge's main tasks - besides general support of her colleagues - include the administrative work that is incurred with manuscript submissions, reviewing procedures, and sending reminders to referees and authors.
Christine Herth (Production Manager): Christine Herth joined Wiley in 2008 and is now the Production Manager for Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, and Small.
Sonja Hoffmann (Marketing): Sonja Hoffmann qualified as Marketing Expert at the IHK Mannheim. She joined STM Journals Marketing Department of Wiley-VCH in 2006 and is now the Marketing Manager for Materials Science, Polymer, and Physics Journals.
