Perovskite compounds have played a central role in studies of dielectric materials. In their Full Paper on page 2786 ff., Akiko Kobayashi, Hayao Kobayashi et al. report that metal–organic perovskites containing azetidinium cations, [(CH2)3NH2][M(HCOO)3] (M=Mn, Cu, Zn), all show a structural phase transition, coupled with the freezing of the ring-puckering molecular motion of azetidinium cations, and an extremely large dielectric anomaly (ε1 > 105 at 1 kHz) near room temperature. The results suggest the relaxor-like nature of these systems.
