physica status solidi citations and impact
| The pss journal family is one of the largest international platforms and most important publications in solid state and materials physics. In all, more than 20,000 citations to pss articles appeared in the literature throughout 2011. Article access will reach the level of annually 1 million full-text downloads in 2012. With a new Impact Factor of 2.218, pss (RRL) continues to be the highest impact letter journal dedicated to solid state physics - the publication now includes the newly introduced Reviews@RRL, the special solar cell section, and further Focus issues to come. Total pss (RRL) cites have increased by 20% to 1,103 in 2011, the Immediacy Index rose by 9% to 0.674, proving that RRL articles are not only published rapidly, but also gain citations faster than ever. The 2011 Impact Factors of pss (a) - applications and materials science and pss (b) - basic solid state physics are 1.463 and 1.316. Total pss (a) and (b) cites have increased to 9,041 and 8,109 in 2011 proving the high visibility and broad relevance of their content. The Immediacy Index of pss (b) has increased by 20% to 0.525 in 2011, proving that its articles are cited faster than ever. The highlights of the recent years include applied science papers on oxide and flexible electronics, nitride LEDs or advanced photovoltaic applications and basic research papers on nanolasers and metamaterials as well as nanomagnetism and superconductivity pss (c) - current topics in solid state physics publishes conference presentations and as such it is listed in the Web of Science Conference Proceedings Citation Index CPCI-S. In 2011, over 1000 citations of articles published in 2009/10 were counted, showing the critical selectivity and wide visibility of this proceedings journal. |
