Chairmen

Matthias Beller is Professor of Catalysis at the Universität Rostock and Director of the Leibniz-Institut für Katalyse. He also heads the GDCh's working group on "Sustainable Chemistry". His research is focused on applied homogeneous catalysis and the development and application of new, environmentally benign catalysts and synthetic methods.

Germany

Gabriele Centi is Professor of Industrial Chemistry at the Università degli Studi di Messina. He is a former President of the European Federation of Catalysis Societies and is currently Co-ordinator of the Network of Excellence IDECAT. His research interests lie in the development of industrial heterogeneous catalysts for sustainable chemical processes, environmental protection, and clean energy.

Italy

Licheng Sun is Professor in Molecular Devices at the Kungliga Tekniska högskolan (Royal Institute of Technology) in Stockholm and Distinguished Professor at Dalian University of Technology. His research interests include solar cells and solar fuels: artificial photosynthesis, active site mimics of photosystem II and hydrogenases, dye-sensitized and quantum-dot solar cells, water splitting and oxidation, and hydrogen generation.
