The cover image illustrates an integrated artificial photosynthesis system that is developed through the reassembly of raw materials from plants. The natural photosynthesis model, which converts solar energy into reduced organic chemicals, remains a target for scientists. In their study on p. 581, Chan Beum Park et al. report the development of light-harvesting synthetic wood for utilizing solar energy, especially in the visible light range. The bioinspired strategy, utilizing natural renewable biomaterials for artificial photosynthesis, is a new way for the sustainable development of light-harvesting assemblies by facile and environmentally friendly fabrication under mild conditions.
