Call For Papers
|All manuscripts will be peer reviewed before their acceptance for publication. A general criterion of the review is whether the manuscript provides new insights and findings in the science and technology development associated with these areas. Case studies with industry problems or data that could lead to further research and/or industrial implementation are also welcome.|
Special Issue on
| In the latter years, the typical knowledge of chemical engineering has found increasingly application in the biomedical field, giving very interesting results. In particular, the contribution given to the development of artificial organs (artificial kidney, artificial liver, artificial lung) and artificial tissues (bioartificial organs, cells culture, etc), seems of greet interest. In this context, the typical knowledge of chemical engineering, i.e. unit operations, transport phenomena, etc., can be of great help to provide guidelines for a rationale design of artificial and bioartificial organs.|
Thus, this calls for papers special issue focus mainly on two wide topics (both review and new research):
The issue is being edited by Dr. Vincenzo Piemonte (University Campus Bio-medico of Rome), Dr. Angelo Basile (Italian National Research Council – CNR - at University of Calabria) and Dr. Luisa Di Paola (University Campus Bio-medico of Rome).
Special Themed Issues
A major feature of the internationally read journal, Asia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering (apjChemEng), is special theme issues. During 2011, the journal is publishing themes on:
• Festschrift in Honor of Professor Nabil Esmail
