Campus Legal Advisor Honored at 2016 APEX Awards
Campus Legal Advisor has been honored by industry peers with an Award for Publishing Excellence at the 2016 APEX Awards.
The winning article “Know what to expect when attorneys come to your campus” appeared in the July 2015 edition of the newsletter. As the lead story, it featured an interview with Charles H. Rose, III, professor of excellence in trial advocacy and director of the Center for Excellence in Advocacy at the Stetson University College of Law. His insight and advice provides university administrators an introductory guide and framework of how to prepare for an attorney’s presence in their institution’s campus conduct system.
The APEX Awards for Publication Excellence is an annual competition for publishers, editors, writers and designers who create print, Web, electronic and social media. Communications Concepts, Inc. sponsors the APEX Awards, and advises professionals who write, edit and manage business communications, on best strategies and practices. Concepts publishes business communication reports, including Writer's Web Watch, an e-report for professional communicators, and special reports on topics such as corporate writing and Web publishing.
In the Twenty-eighth Annual APEX Awards, over 1,600 entries were evaluated and awards were given in 100 individual areas of excellence, within 11 main categories including: newsletters; magazines, journals and tabloids; annual reports; print media; electronic media; social media; websites; campaigns, programs and plans; writing; design and illustration; and one-of-a-kind publications.
According to the APEX 2016 judges, “The awards were based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence.”
Congratulations to our editor Claudine McCarthy for this recognition of Publishing Excellence in the category of Feature Writing.
