Enrollment Management Report Honored by Industry Peers
Enrollment Management Report has recognition from peers in the publishing industry with an APEX 2013 Award of Excellence in the category of 1-2 Person Produced Newsletters.
The winning submission, available to read in full online, featured coverage of admissions offices social media strategies; recruiting and retaining American Indian students; time-management and organizational advice and more. Editor Joan Hope brings years of experience in higher education and journalism to her work. In 2010, Enrollment Management Report was awarded the Newsletter on Newsletters’ First Place award for Best How-to article. The topic was how to retain adult students. Joan’s other awards include a Gold Medal for Best Feature Article from Parenting Publications of America and a Best Graduate Student Paper in American Literature honor from the English Department at Indiana University at Bloomington.
The APEX Awards for Publication Excellence is an annual competition for publishers, editors, writers and designers who create print, Web, electronic and social media. Communications Concepts, Inc. sponsors the APEX Awards, and advises professionals who write, edit and manage business communications, on best strategies and practices. Concepts publishes business communication reports, including Writer's Web Watch, an e-report for professional communicators, and special reports on topics such as corporate writing and Web publishing.
In the Twenty-fifth Annual APEX Awards, awards were given in 138 individual categories, within 12 main categories including: newsletters; magazines and journals; magapapers and newspapers; annual reports; brochures, manuals and reports; electronic media; social media; websites; campaigns, programs and plans; writing; design and illustration; and one-of-a-kind publications.
According to the APEX 2013 judges, “The awards were based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence.”
