NML is committed both to academic excellence and to advancing creative interaction between rigorous research and engaged practice. The new editor, who will have earned significant distinction in the field of nonprofit management and leadership, will lead NML and be charged with raising its profile among researchers and practitioners. 2011 Editors' Prize for Best Scholarly Paper

Helm, University of Missouri – Kansas City and Fredrik O. Andersson, University of Missouri – Kansas City, recipients of the Editors' Prize for Best Scholarly Paper.
Their award-winning paper "Beyond Taxonomy: An Empirical Validation of Social Entrepreneurship in the Nonprofit Sector" was published in Nonprofit Management and Leadership, Volume 20, Number 3, 2010.
