Clinical Case Reports is different to other case report journals. Our aim is to directly improve global health and share clinical knowledge using case reports to convey important best practice messages. We welcome case reports from all areas of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Veterinary Science and may include any clinical case or procedure which illustrates an important best practice teaching message and any clinical case or procedure which illustrates the appropriate use of an important clinical guideline or systematic review.
Our case reports do not have to be novel, unusual, or challenging, and they do not have to be surprising. They simply have to convey an important teaching point about a common or important clinical scenario. Scenarios involving the appropriate use of a clinical guideline or systematic review are particularly important to us. Clinical Case Reports is an open access journal with a comprehensive peer review policy, and a very rapid publication process. We guarantee that Clinical Case Reports will publish all high quality original case reports meeting our submission guidelines which have an important, practical, and generalisable teaching message.
Clincal Case Reports is a Wiley Open Access journal. All articles published by Clinical Case Reports are fully open access: immediately freely available to read, download and share. To cover the cost of publishing, Clinical Case Reports charges a publication fee.

Wiley Open Access Manuscript Transfer Program
Clinical Case Reports is supported by other journals published by Wiley including a number of society-owned journals. After review in a supporting Wiley journal, rejected articles of suitable quality can be identified by the Editor as candidates for publication in Clinical Case Reports. Authors will have the option to automatically transfer their manuscript to Clinical Case Reports and complete the submission process. The Clinical Case Reports editors will then undertake further evaluation. Importantly, authors will not need to make any changes to their manuscript at this stage. Authors should note that referees’ comments are transferred to the editor of Clinical Case Reports along with the manuscript. The Clinical Case Reports editors will take the previous reviews into account when making their decision, although in some cases the editors may choose to take advice from additional referees.
