To celebrate ChemistryOpen's first Impact Factor of 2.938 (Thomson Reuters 2013 Journal Citation Report), we are currently running a special offer for our authors: Articles will be published free of charge until June 2015.
All manuscripts submitted to the Editorial Office are evaluated by the editors and stringently peer reviewed by experts in the field. For manuscripts accepted for publication before June 2015, the standard article publication charge (APC) will be waived and all publication costs covered by the Editorial Office, which includes those associated with color production. This offer applies to Full Papers, Communications, and Thesis Summaries only. Authors of other contribution types (i.e., Cover Profiles) are still required to meet the associated APC of €500.
Articles published in ChemistryOpen are fully open access and are published under a Creative Commons license in accordance with the standard policies of the journal.
The Editorial Office reserves the right to rescind this offer at any stage.
Article Publication Charges
All articles published by ChemistryOpen are fully open access: immediately freely available to read, download and share. To cover the cost of publishing, ChemistryOpen charges a publication fee.
ChemistryOpen's publication charge for a Full Paper or Communication to the journal is €2500, payable upon acceptance. Authors wishing to publish a Thesis Summary in the ChemistryOpen Thesis Treasury will be charged €500.
The following discounts are available on publication fees. The single highest discount applies (discounts are exclusive of each other and cannot be accumulated).
|Discount Reference||Discount Amount||Description|
Authors who are a member of a ChemPubSoc Europe society:
|20%||Authors who provide proofs of membership (membership number) to a ChemPubSoc Europe society receive a 20% discount on the associated publication charge.*|
*Offer excludes Thesis Summaries published in the ChemistryOpen Thesis Treasury.
Authors who receive funding from an agency or institution with a Wiley Open Access Account do not pay directly. The charge is paid by the institution or funder (see below for details). Automatic article publication charge waivers and discounts will be given to authors from the Wiley Open Access Waiver Country List. Authors should submit a waiver or discount request during the submission of their article.
Institutional and Funder Accounts and Discounts
To enable academic and research institutions, funders, and corporations to financially support their investigators publishing open access articles with Wiley, a central payment option is available:
Wiley Open Access Accounts enable institutions and funders to pay centrally for open access articles published by their authorized authors. Upon publication, the full open access publication fee for the journal in question, minus any account discount, will be deducted from the account.
Authors affiliated with an organization which has a Wiley Open Access Account can publish research articles in ChemistryOpen without directly paying any publication charges.
