Children & Society - 2015 Special Issue
Proposals are invited for the 2015 special issue of Children & Society.
We are happy to consider any topic related to the aims and scope of the journal, and we are particularly interested in proposals that have an international range.
Proposals should offer a clear and full rationale for the topic and choice of contributions. We normally expect a mixture of commissioned papers and responses to an open call. Proposals should also set out a timetable from approval to final submission of all copy to the publisher (in January 2015). This should include time for a call for contributions, for editing and revision, and for peer review. The normal length of an issue is 40-50,000 words, including an editorial.
Please see the journal’s website for themes of recent and forthcoming special issues.
Proposals will be considered first by the Editors and then by the Editorial Board, with a decision being made by the Board in October 2013. One of the Editors will be appointed to liaise with the Editor of the special issue. The Editors will be happy to respond informally to early drafts. Proposals should be sent to the Editorial Assistant, Katrina Strachan, at firstname.lastname@example.org
