National Alcohol Experiences
National Alcohol Experiences
Between 2004 and 2007 a series of commissioned articles was published in the journal Addiction, under the general theme of 'National Alcohol Experiences'. These papers were written by leading experts from around the globe, representing 18 countries in total. The contributors were asked to write about current alcohol issues in their respective countries, specifically in reference to epidemiology, prevention, treatment, research and policy. These papers were commissioned in part to facilitate international communication in the field, but also to demonstrate that 'the world of drinking is still one of very diverse experiences'. – Thomas F. Babor and Erin L. Winstanley
