Introducing the new Editor-in-Chief
We are pleased to introduce Professor Dave Speare as the new Editor-in-Chief for Journal of Fish Diseases. Dave takes over as Editor-in-Chief from the Founding Editor Professor Ron Roberts in January 2015. Dave has been an active Editorial Board member, author and reviewer on Journal of Fish Diseases for many years and is very excited to take on the role of Editor-in-Chief of this international leading journal. Dave graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC), University of Guelph in 1984, practiced veterinary medicine in Truro, Nova Scotia Canada, and then received his advanced fish health training through the Department of Pathology, leading to a DVSc degree completed in 1990. Thereafter, joining the Department of Pathology of the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island, Canada, he developed a research program focused on emerging economically important diseases affecting cold-water aquaculture species with a particular interest in gill disease pathogenesis and pathophysiology.
