Introducing the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors

Dave Speare - Editor in ChiefWe are pleased to introduce Professor Dave Speare as the Editor-in-Chief for Journal of Fish Diseases, and Professor Barbara Nowak and Professor Mark Powell as the Associate Editors for the Journal. Dave started as Editor-in-Chief in January 2015 having taken over from the Founding Editor Professor Ron Roberts. Dave has been an active Editorial Board member, author and reviewer on Journal of Fish Diseases for many years. Dave graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC), University of Guelph in 1984, practiced veterinary medicine in Truro, Nova Scotia Canada, and then received his advanced fish health training through the Department of Pathology, leading to a DVSc degree completed in 1990. Thereafter, joining the Department of Pathology of the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island, Canada, he developed a research program focused on emerging economically important diseases affecting cold-water aquaculture species with a particular interest in gill disease pathogenesis and pathophysiology.
