Special Issue: 30 Years of Mol Micro

Molecular Microbiology 30th Anniversary Special Issue

2017 is the 30th anniversary for Molecular Microbiology! Publication began in 1987 with the goal of providing authors with an attractive venue for the free publication (no pages charges were levied) of "high quality research papers addressing any microbiological question at a molecular level." Molecular Microbiology quickly gained a reputation as a truly international journal featuring the highest quality science and provocative and timely MicroReviews.

This Special Issue celebrates this 30th anniversary by featuring 30 influential papers published in Molecular Microbiology, highlighting one article for every year of publishing. The Editors have written a small synopsis for each one to describe the key findings of the work and the importance that the article had in the community then and now. These articles have been made free to read for a limited period to celebrate the journal’s 30th birthday – please do celebrate with us!
