The International Xenotransplantation Association (IXA) was established at the Montreal ’98 Congress of The Transplantation Society in July 1998, with the principle aim of providing a forum for those with a special interest in xenotransplantation. The official journal of the IXA, Xenotransplantation, is available for all member categories at a greatly reduced annual subscription. The Editor-in-Chief of the journal encourages manuscript submissions from members of the IXA. Additionally, IXA members are eligible for the Xeno Prize (an annual award of $7,000, jointly sponsored by the IXA and Wiley), for the best paper published in Xenotransplantation.
Detailed information on membership categories, benefits, and the application process can be obtained at the Society website.
