Performance in the Public Sector


‘Performance’ in the public sector is of perennial interest to public administration and management scholars and practitioners and for more than 40 years it has featured amongst the pages of the AJPA. In this special issue compiled for the 2013 IPAA Conference, we draw from the archives of the journal to present a range of articles that have explored the performance topic. These range from performance from a micro-level through to system-level challenges of measuring government performance cutting key debates in the field and exploring these issues in practice.
