Best Paper Prize

Beginning in 2013 Singapore Journal of Tropical Geography will award annual prizes for the best paper by a graduate student and the best overall paper. USD 1000 will be awarded to the winning paper in each of the two categories. Any kind of paper published in the journal (theory papers, empirical papers, methodology papers, etc.) will be considered for the awards each year. For eligibility to the graduate student category, the lead author must be enrolled in graduate study at the time when the paper is first submitted to the journal. Selection of the winning papers will be made by members of the journal’s Editorial Board.

Results will be announced by the end of each calendar year and short profiles of the author(s) will be published in the subsequent volume of the journal.
