At the recent Fifth Italian Congress of Econometrics and Empirical Economics (ICEEE 2013, 16th-18th January, Faculty of Economics of the University of Genova, Italy), the LABOUR Prize for the best paper in Theoretical or Applied Microeconometrics written by young scientists (less than 4 years from PhD completion) was awarded to Giovanni Mellace (PhD, Tor Vergata U. in Rome 2011) for his paper on "Relaxing monotonicity in the identification of local average treatment effects".
