JCMS Annual Review Lecture 2011
We are pleased to present videos of the 2011 JCMS Annual Review Lecture with Loukas Tsoukalis. The lecture was given by Professor Loukas Tsoukalis at King's College London on "The Shattering of Illusions and What Next?". The lecture was followed by a discussion with the audience, chaired by Dr Tim Haughton of the University of Birmingham and Dr Nathaniel Copsey, Co-Director of the Aston Centre for Europe, who are the co-editors of the JCMS AR. Professor Tsoukalis' lecture investigates the impact that the current political and economic crisis within the EU has had on the European integration process and suggests some possible remedies to the current malaise by returning to the question he posed in his seminal 2005 work What Kind of Europe? Loukas Tsoukalis is Jean Monnet Professor of European Organisation at the University of Athens and President of the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy, ELIAMEP. He is one of Europe's foremost scholars of European integration.
