The first Anthony D. Smith Memorial Lecture will take place on Thursday 9 February, 18.30-20.00, Hong Kong Theatre, Clement House, LSE. Professor Sammy Smooha (University of Haifa) will explore the strategies of three types of democracy (liberal, consociational and ethnic) used to cope with diversity. The lecture will be chaired by John Hutchinson (Department of Government, LSE). The event is free and no ticket is required.
