Palaeontology is the key to the history of life on our planet. Without fossils we would know little of past climate change and nothing of the nature of evolution and extinction. Our understanding of earth history is enriched and enlivened by palaeontological research.
The Palaeontological Association was founded in 1957 to further the study of palaeontology. This is achieved through the publication of academic journals, field guides and regular newsletters as well as an Annual meeting which combines field work and formal presentations.
