Author Guidelines


Fiscal Studies welcomes policy oriented articles in the field of applied public economics. For further information about the remit of the journal please see our aims and scope.

Papers, preferably no more than 7500 words long, should be submitted through our online submission system, Editorial Express, with a short abstract of no more than 200 words and a JEL classification.

Accepted Manuscripts

Accepted manuscripts should follow the Fiscal Studies Style Guide which can be downloaded here.

Open Access

Accepted authors can choose to make their article available to non-subscribers using Wiley's OnlineOpen.

OnlineOpen is subject to an article processing fee of US $3000. If no funding is available, RCUK and Wellcome funded authors can make their article available to non-subscribers after an embargo period of two years free of charge.
