The AJES presents a new book
Social Provisioning, Embeddedness, and Modeling the Economy
Frederic S. Lee
This book consists of nine essays that model the economy much differently than mainstream economics models the economy. Starting with a non-mainstream definition of economics as being concerned with the social provisioning process, the result is that the model of the economy is socially envelop. That is to say, all economic activities are social activities which are informed by social norms, institutions, ideology, and social activities. Hence the starting point of all economic analysis is a socially embedded economy. The essays in this book contribute to the development of this model of a socially embedded economy.
