Overview

The Canadian Journal of Economics (CJE)/Revue canadienne d'économique is the journal of the Canadian Economics Association (CEA), and is the primary academic economics journal in Canada. While the CJE is the premier outlet for high-quality papers concerning the Canadian economy and policy issues, the editors seek to maintain and enhance the position of the CJE as a major, internationally recognized journal by publishing papers on all economics topics -- theoretical or empirical -- and international in scope..

Each year, the CJE publishes the Presidential Address and Innis Lecture from the Annual Meetings of the CEA. A new feature is a series of viewpoint articles published each year, with the objective of providing state-of-the art summaries on topics of general interest to economists. The CEA also offers two prizes for articles published in the CJE: The Harry Johnson Prize for the overall best paper, and the Robert Mundell Prize, for the best article by a young economist.

Aims and Scope

The Canadian Journal of Economics (CJE) is the journal of the Canadian Economics Association (CEA) and is the primary academic economics journal based in Canada. The editors seek to maintain and enhance the position of the CJE as a major, internationally recognized journal and are very receptive to high-quality papers on any economics topic from any source. In addition, the editors recognize the Journal's role as an important outlet for high-quality empirical papers about the Canadian economy and about Canadian policy issues.
