Virtual Issue: Legacy and Stewardship - Introduction by James L. Perry

I write in my final editorial as PAR''s nineteenth Editor in Chief, "Legacy and Stewardship" (Perry, 2017d), about the journal's long-standing legacy of leadership for the field of public administration. This virtual issue highlights ten editorials from my term as Editor in Chief that represent how PAR's more than seven-decade legacy was manifest from 2012 through 2017.

Our roles as stewards for PAR's legacy meant that our editorial team took a panoramic view that looked to the past, present and future. Several of the themes from across my editorials reflect this panoramic view.
