Family Relations is an international journal of applied family studies. It is a journal of the National Council on Family Relations.


Aims and Scope


A premier, applied journal of family studies, Family Relations is mandatory reading for all professionals who work with families, including: family practitioners, educators, marriage and family therapists, researchers, and social policy specialists. The journal's content emphasizes family research with implications for intervention, education, and public policy, publishing:

Articles published in Family Relations are original, innovative and interdisciplinary. Focusing on diverse families and family issues, the content always addresses the needs of practitioners, including specific recommendations for prevention and intervention.
