The annual meeting of the British Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies is Europe's largest and most prestigious annual conference dealing with all aspects of the history, literature, and culture of the long eighteenth century.

The British Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies promotes the study of all aspects of the eighteenth century, not only as it was experienced in Britain but throughout the world.

The Society organises a major conference every January, and supports a number of smaller specialist or regional meetings and conferences.
