Contemporary Accounting Research congratulates Professor James A. Ohlson on receiving the American Accounting Association’s 2013 Seminal Contributions to Accounting Literature Award, for his paper “Earnings, Book Values and Dividends”. The paper appeared in CAR’s Spring 1995 issue. It won the AAA’s Notable Contributions to Accounting Literature Award in 2000.

In 2012, the German Academic Association for Business Research recognized a CAR paper with its Best Paper Award, as the best international academic business publication in the year 2011/12 by German-speaking authors.The paper, “Transfer Pricing or Formula Apportionment? Tax-Induced Distortions of Multinationals’ Investment and Production Decisions”, by J. Martini, R. Niemann, and D. Simons appeared in CAR’s Winter 2012 issue. Congratulations from CAR to Professors Martini, Niemann and Simons on this achievement.
