Note to Readers
Throughout the 45-year history of Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health, one of the editors’ goals has been to keep the journal as current—in terms of both substance and form—as possible. Continuing that tradition, we are pleased to announce that the journal will be published online only. This change will allow us to move articles through production and get them published more quickly. With time, as the online journals environment continues to evolve, it will also permit us to reach readers via a wider variety of formats and devices.
In the near term, our many readers who already access Perspectives online will notice very little difference; you will get to the journal in the same way as you do now, and you will have your choice between reading material in the form of PDFs or in more fully featured HTML text. While we recognize that readers of the print edition may need some time to adjust to this transition, we are confident that you will soon come to enjoy the trade-offs between the features of the online edition and the old familiar feel of turning pages. (And for those times when you just have to have the journal in print, you can arrange that through our custom print-on-demand service.) Readers can find out what’s new in Perspectives by checking in with our Web site or signing up for e-mail content alerts.
As we look forward to this exciting new phase of the journal’s history, we would like to express our appreciation to all of our readers, authors and reviewers. Your contributions to and feedback on Perspectives help us to produce a journal that you tell us makes a real difference and of which we are very proud.
