Best paper prize
The Korean Securities Association is pleased to announce the winners of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies Best Paper Prize for 2012. You can read the winning papers online now.
First prize was awarded to Asymmetric price distribution and bid-ask quotes in the stock options market by Kalok Chan and Y. Peter Chung.
Second prize was awarded to Corporate governance, legal system, and stock market liquidity: Evidence around the world by Kee H. Chung, Joon-Seok Kim, Kwangwoo Park and Taeyoon Sung.

About the journal
Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies publishes original research articles that focus on empirical and theoretical research on capital markets. The journal aims to contribute to the development of Asia-Pacific’s securities markets and its financial industry by promoting mutual cooperation and exchange among scholars, professionals, and policy makers to share research interests and policy issues in the field. Papers in any of the following fields will be considered:
• investments
• capital and security markets
• corporate finance, and
• quantitative methods of particular relevance to financial researchers.
Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies was the first SSCI-listed finance journal in Asia.
