Hubert Faustmann studies History, Political Science and German Language and Literature at the University of Mannheim, Germany, where he also completed his doctoral dissertation on the British Colonial period in Cyprus in the Department of History. He is currently Associate Professor for History and Political Science at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the refereed journal The Cyprus Review and the local representative of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Cyprus. He has published extensively on on the British Colonial period as well as on Cypriot politics, history and society since 1960.
Erol Kaymak is Associate Professor of International Relations at the Eastern Mediterranean University in Famagusta, Cyprus and co-research director for the ‘Cyprus 2015’ project (www.cyprus2015.org) implemented through Interpeace. With experience both as an academic and as a practitioner in peace building in Cyprus, he has published on the dynamics of the Cyprus problem in academic journals and produced reports in conjunction with the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), the United Nations (UNFICYP). Since 2010 he has served as a member of the advisory board to the Turkish Cypriot negotiation team in the current round of talks.
