British Academy and Wiley Prize in Economics - Call for Nominations
The British Academy is calling for nominations for the newly created British Academy-Wiley Prize in Economics. This major new prize, worth £5000, shall be awarded for the first time in 2013.
The prize arises from the commitment of both the British Academy and Wiley Blackwell to foster the highest quality research and will recognize an outstanding contribution in economics, including economic history, by an early career researcher.
Announcing the call for nominations the Academy’s President, Sir Adam Roberts, said “I am delighted to be able to announce this important new collaboration between the British Academy and Wiley-Blackwell. The British Academy is keen to support researchers early in their careers and pleased that the British Academy-Wiley Prize in Economics affords another opportunity for us to do so.”
Nominations may only be made by Heads of Departments of Economics (or equivalent) in UK HE institutions or relevant learned societies. Only one nomination per nominating body is permitted. Nominees must be UK nationals or residents, and have received their doctorate after 1st January 2006.
