Abstract
Antimicrobial resistance represents a threat to humankind and healthy living. Emerging and future technologies for the identification and profiling of antimicrobial resistance bacterial agents are massively gaining ground over the current approaches used in clinical microbiology. These technological advances will contribute to save lives and decrease the healthcare costs associated with microbial infections.
