35.1: Invited Paper: Envisioning a Light Field Ecosystem
Abstract
Cameras that capture the 4‐D light field incident on their sensor plane, rather than a 2‐D projection of that light field, are becoming available. We describe the properties of one such camera, recently introduced by Lytro, and consider how the pictures captured by it may be used to drive several different 3‐D display systems.
