Abstract

Visible light communications (VLC) are an essential technology in the future 5G networks. In this article, for the first time to best of our knowledge, we introduce the concept of wavefront spatial‐phase modulation VLC transmission, using spatial light modulators. The implemented system exhibits a signal to noise ratio of 18 dB, with a total capacity higher than 1 Gbaud/s.
