Abstract

en

An evaluation of the physical properties of iron, cobalt, nickel, and copper high oxidation states in oxides shows the influence of chemical bonding and structural factors on the electronic configuration. Such correlations are illustrated by the synthesis of the first six‐coordinated iron(V) oxide: La2LiFeO6.
